Europe's Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region

For the first time in history the European Union is creating an internal EU Strategy for a specific geographic macro-region - the Baltic Sea Region. The idea behind the Baltic Sea strategy is to create an integrated European transnational strategy that will make it easier for the region to prosper, and to better handle its cross-border challenges effectively. It should be a strategy that also reflects the specific circumstances of the Baltic Sea Region. Please see webpage

http://ec.europa.eu/regional_policy/cooperation/baltic/index_en.htm

for more information on the work with the Baltic Sea Strategy.
